PitchProgress

Terms of Service

The ground rules for using PitchProgress.

1. What PitchProgress is

PitchProgress is a web platform that connects a player’s coach and family around one shared picture of the player’s development: structured observations by the coach, an individual development plan, and simple home training activities matched to the coach’s focus areas.

2. Accounts and roles

  • Coaches create teams, add or invite players, record observations, and publish feedback to families. Coaches must be adults acting for a genuine team or club.
  • Parents/guardians add their own children, accept invitations, and control their child’s participation. Only a parent or guardian may create a child’s profile or connect a child to a squad.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you enter.

3. Children’s use

Accounts are for adults. Children may use a supervised “child mode” view of their own training plan, but only with a parent or guardian’s involvement — profiles, invitations and data rights all belong to the guardian. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

4. Coach feedback is free; the home programme may be paid

Publishing assessments and coach feedback to families is free, permanently. Access to the home training programme may be offered as a paid subscription. Where billing is enabled, subscriptions renew until cancelled and are handled by our payment provider; you can cancel any time. We will always tell you the price before you are charged.

5. Published observations are permanent

When a coach publishes an assessment it becomes part of the player’s permanent record. Coaches cannot silently edit or delete published feedback — corrections are added as new versions with a visible amendment note. This protects the integrity of the player’s record for families.

6. AI features

PitchProgress can draft wording for feedback and development plans using AI. Data — never opinion — determines what a plan focuses on, and nothing AI-drafted is shown to a family until a coach has reviewed and approved it. AI drafts can be wrong or awkward; the reviewing coach is responsible for the final content.

7. Acceptable use

  • Record only genuine observations of players on your own team.
  • Keep content professional and appropriate — this is a product used around children.
  • Don’t attempt to access other teams’ data, scrape the service, or interfere with its operation.
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or applicable safeguarding law.

8. Intellectual property and your content

You keep ownership of the content you enter. You give us the limited licence needed to store, process and display it within the service (for example, showing a published assessment to that player’s family). The PitchProgress product, brand and content templates remain ours.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep PitchProgress available and correct, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We may add, change or remove features; material changes that affect your rights will be communicated in the app.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, PitchProgress is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Sporting judgements (ratings, targets, drill suitability) are the responsibility of the coach and family using them; use common sense, and stop any activity that causes pain.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using PitchProgress and request deletion of your account and child profiles at any time. We may suspend or close accounts for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms: use the in-app support link or contact the PitchProgress team via the details provided by your club.
