step by step.

From empty squad to published IDPs
You'll do this once for setup, then it's a rhythm: observe on the weekend, publish, and every family's home programme updates itself.
Create your team
My squadSign up as a coach. From /coach, the empty state offers Create your team — name it (e.g. “Riverside U12”) and pick the age band. The age band matters: it selects which observation set you score against.
A team belongs to you. The players belong to their families — you invite them onto your squad, you never own their records.
Get players onto your squad — two ways
My squadBoth end in the same place. Pick whichever matches your situation:
A · Families first
Invite families sends a link. Parents sign up, add their own child, and the child joins your squad automatically — even if they added the child after opening your link.
B · Roster first
Add player creates a provisional entry (name, position, foot). Later, Invite family on that player's card lets the parent claim the profile — it transfers to their family's ownership.
Invitation links are single-use and time-limited. If one expires, just generate a new one — nothing else changes.
Observe your squad (the IDP form)
ObserveFrom My squad, tap Observe / Assess. You score one skill at a time across the whole squad — never one player's whole profile — using three buttons:

Not sure what a “2” means? Tap what Developing, Proficient and Extending look like for written anchors on every skill. Big tools for match-day efficiency:
- •Set whole squad to Proficient, then adjust the outliers — how coaches actually think.
- •🚩 Wasn't sure flags a rating as low-confidence. It's recorded but excluded from trends, so honest doubt never corrupts the data.
- •The app shows each player's previous rating so you're always judging movement, not recalling it.
You can publish with blanks. Coverage is tracked, never enforced — assess the 8 minutes you have.
Publish — with the AI draft you approve
Review & publishWhen you finish (or tap Publish what I have), the review sheet opens. The AI has already drafted the parent-facing copy from your ratings. You edit it, then tick “I've reviewed this — approve to send”. The publish button stays locked until you do.
Publishing is permanent. Corrections create a new version with a visible amendment note — ratings never silently change. Parents are notified by email, free.
Generate the IDP — AI-drafted, you approve again
PlansHead to Plans. Every player with published observations shows a chip with their name. Tap it and the AI drafts a plan: a strengths summary, a focus rationale, and 2–3 goals targeting their lowest-rated skills. Every goal is editable inline before you tap Create plan.
Each goal links to its skill, and each skill links to home drills — so the moment you create the plan, the family's practice list is already matched to it.
Focus areas come from the data (lowest adequately-confident ratings). The AI writes the wording; it never decides what a player works on.
Match days: record games & notes
MatchesLog a match records opponent, score, formation. Attach notes — what worked, what didn't — and they stay with that match forever. Match records are free on every tier.
The rules we never break
These aren't features. They're promises baked into every screen.
Your child's profile is yours
Profiles are parent-created and follow the child across every team and season. Coaches see, but never own.
No comparisons, ever
Your child is measured only against their own past. There is no leaderboard, no ranking, no average to be below.
Coach feedback is always free
Whatever a coach writes, observes, or plans — parents see it free, permanently. No tier gates the human connection.
AI drafts, humans decide
Nothing AI-generated reaches a family without the coach reviewing and approving it. The coach's voice is the only voice.
